Privacy Policy
Flairr ("we," "us," or "our") operates the AthletiQ mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding your data.
By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address (for email/password sign-in)
- Full name
- Username (optional)
- Apple ID credentials (when using Apple Sign-In; we receive only the information Apple provides, such as name and email)
1.2 Profile Information
During onboarding and profile setup, you may provide health and fitness information to personalize your experience, such as fitness goals, training preferences, health conditions, and a profile photo.
Providing profile information is voluntary. However, certain features (such as workout generation) require some of this data to function accurately.
1.3 Fitness and Workout Data
As you use the App, we collect your workouts, session records, performance metrics, and equipment selections.
1.4 Camera and Movement Data
The App offers optional camera-based rep counting. Camera frames are analyzed in real time on your device to extract body-position coordinates (pose landmarks). No video or image from rep counting is ever recorded, saved, or transmitted — only the extracted body-position coordinates leave your device.
Body-position coordinates are sent to our servers via an encrypted connection for real-time rep counting. This data is processed during your workout session only, is not stored, and is discarded when your session ends.
Separately, the camera may be used to capture a selfie that you can optionally attach to a post you share to your feed, or to set a profile photo. These images are only uploaded to our servers when you choose to save or share them. See Section 1.7 for how shared content is handled.
1.5 Voice Input
When you use the voice input feature to describe a workout, the App records audio using your device's microphone. The audio is sent to OpenAI (using the Whisper speech-to-text model) to convert your speech to text. Audio is processed in real-time and is not stored by us or by OpenAI after transcription is complete.
Voice input is entirely optional — you can always type your workout prompts instead.
1.6 Apple Health Data
If you choose to connect Apple Health, the App may read the following data with your explicit permission:
- Daily metrics: step count, active energy burned, exercise minutes
- Profile characteristics: biological sex, date of birth, height, body mass
Connecting Apple Health is entirely optional. This data is used solely to personalize your training experience. Health data from Apple Health is never shared with third parties, service providers, or used for advertising.
1.7 Social and Community Data
The App includes optional social features. When you share a workout completion, post content, or interact with other users, we collect:
- Posts: workout completions, captions, fitness test results, and any selfies or photos you attach to a post when you choose to share
- Comments and reactions you leave on other users' posts
- Follow relationships between you and other users
Content you share is visible to users who follow you. Your profile name and username are visible to other users. You control what you post — sharing workout completions is always optional.
1.8 App Usage Data
We collect app settings and feature interactions necessary for the App to function.
1.9 Information We Do NOT Collect
- GPS or precise location data
- Contacts, messages, or call logs
- Browsing history
- Device advertising identifiers
- Data from other apps on your device
- Biometric identifiers (fingerprints, face scans)
- We do not use third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to provide and improve the App, generate personalized workouts, count reps via camera, calculate fitness metrics, sync your data, and communicate with you. We do not use your data for advertising, marketing profiling, or selling to third parties.
3. How We Share Your Information
3.1 Cloud Backend
Your account data, profile, workouts, and session records are stored with a secure cloud service provider. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections.
3.2 Workout Generation (AI-Assisted)
When you request a generated workout, your prompt and a minimal set of anonymized fitness attributes (biological sex, age, height, weight, fitness level, and training environment) are sent to our own backend infrastructure. As part of our orchestration, AI reasoning is provided by Groq, an inference provider that hosts the open-source language model used to interpret your request and help structure your workout. Groq operates under a zero-retention, no-training agreement and does not store, log, or use your data for model training or any purpose beyond returning the response. The first time you use AI-assisted workout generation, the App asks for your explicit consent and explains exactly what is sent and to whom. You can decline and still use the rest of the App. You can also enable or disable AI data sharing at any time under Settings › AI Features; disabling it revokes your consent and will prompt you again before any future AI-assisted generation.
We do not send: your name, email, username, user ID, authentication tokens, session history, equipment list, or any other personal identifiers when generating workouts.
3.3 Voice Transcription (OpenAI Whisper)
If you use the optional voice input feature to describe a workout, your audio is sent to OpenAI for transcription using the Whisper speech-to-text model. OpenAI processes the audio solely to return a text transcript and does not retain the audio after transcription is complete. Voice input is entirely optional — you can always type your workout prompts instead. See OpenAI's privacy policy at openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.
3.4 Apple
If you use Apple Sign-In, Apple processes your authentication. If you make purchases, Apple processes your payment. We do not have access to your payment card details.
3.5 When Required by Law
We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
3.6 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
3.7 No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Data Storage
Your data is stored locally on your device and synced to our cloud backend. The App continues to function offline and syncs automatically when connected.
4.2 Security Measures
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission and secure authentication. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
4.3 Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we will remove your personal data, except where retention is required by law.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
5.1 Access and Portability
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
5.2 Correction
You may update or correct your personal information through the App's profile settings at any time.
5.3 Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated personal data directly from the App under Settings > Delete Account. When you delete your account, all your data — including your profile, workouts, programs, and workout history — is permanently removed from our servers. You may also request deletion by contacting us at support@athletiqlabs.org.
5.4 Restriction and Objection
You may request that we restrict or stop processing your data in certain circumstances.
5.5 Withdraw Consent
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before withdrawal.

6. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information.

7. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed and stored in countries outside your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your own. We take steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy regardless of where it is processed.
8. European Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland:
- Legal basis for processing: We process your data based on contractual necessity (to provide the App), your consent (for optional features like workout generation and camera use), and legitimate interests (to improve the App).

- Supervisory Authority: You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. California Users (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:
- Right to Know: You may request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect.
- Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information.
- Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell your personal information. There is no need to opt out.
- Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

10. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain references to third-party services. This Privacy Policy applies only to the AthletiQ App. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services, and we encourage you to review their policies.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (such as through the App or via email).
